As a coach for actors, directors, artistic teams and producers, Ryder works with his clients to develop and promote: presence, audibility, clarity, stamina, and connection.
When working with clients, the focus is primarily on the instrument — the body, breath, voice and speech systems — required to engage theatre and film audiences and to deliver great texts. (And, sometimes, those not-so-great texts that need to be delivered equally as well.) In addition to establishing the technical foundations of voice & speech craft, Ryder develops company ensembles and assists actors and directors with the technical and emotional interpretation of the text.

As consultants and coaches to leaders and communicators in the commercial space, Ryder leverages transferrable classical theatre skills such as presence, communication (speaking, language specificity, rhetoric), and leadership to help executives, lawyers, broadcasters, medical providers, negotiators, customer service representatives, etc., develop the tools they need to lead teams, persuade others and advance their causes and careers.
